Public Summary

As part of the QBI Coronavirus Research Group (QCRG), we are studying how SARC-CoV-2 hijacks the ubiquitin proteolysis pathway to evade innate immunity. We leverage comprehensive data sets on virus-host interactions and gene expression profiles during infection to formulate hypotheses that inform on molecular mechanisms. Such systems approaches are used in conjunction with biochemistry and structural biology in order to facilitate the discovery of anti-viral therapies.
