Public Summary
As a sub-study of PRIORITY, a national registry of COVID-19 in pregnancy and postpartum, we are building a perinatal biorepository of biospecimens from the pregnant and postpartum mother and her infant, including blood, placenta, cord blood, infant heelstick, and breastmilk. These samples will be utilized for investigations related to viral transmission, immunity, inflammation, and pregnancy complications. These studies will improve our understanding of COVID-19 in pregnancy and postpartum, and the effects on both the mother and baby.
