NOT-DA-22-084 Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Research on the Impact of Policy Changes and Emerging and Evolving Public Health Crises on NIDA Populations of Interest

This notice informs applicants of an expansion to the NOT-HD-22-038 "Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Research on the Impact of Policy Changes and Emerging and Evolving Public Health Crises on NICHD Populations of Interest" to include research priority areas for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to announce that research on the effects of:

  • emerging and evolving public health crises; and/or
  • policy changes

on the health, development, and well-being of populations of interest to the NIDA is of high program priority. The NIDA populations of interest include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults, people using or misusing substances, people with substance use disorders, as well as the families of these individuals. The NIDA supports research on the impact of policy in understanding and addressing substance use risk and behavior across the life span.
